We started the first monitoring of saproxylic insects populations

If you find a white-spotted stag beetle, know that we are to blame!

We started the monitoring of the saproxylic insect populations on an altitudinal transect that starts from the plain areas near Siret river and goes, passing through six sampling sites, up to the beech forests in the Putna Vrancea Natural Park. Already the first specimens have been captured, marked and released safe in the forest for a capture mark recapture study.
