Winners of the interschool competition, „Bugs and Trees” – 2023 edition
The winners of the 2023 edition of the interschool competition, ” Bugs and Trees”:

• third prize – Tița Daniel Nicuşor – 8th grade of „Simion Mehedinți” Soveja School
• 4th prize – Danțiș Alexandru – 5th grade of the Nistoresti School
• 5th prize – Popa Teodor – 5th grade of „Ion Diaconu” Tulnici School
• the special prize – 6th grade of Valeriu D. Cotea Vidra School
The contest was addressed to students from grades V-VIII from school units located in the communities of interest for the project (Soveja, Vidra, Paulesti, Negrilești, Tulnici and Nistoresti communes) and aimed to transmit information about the benefits of saproxylic insects species among the young generation, and increasing the degree of acceptance of saproxylic insects among the local population and raising the awareness of the need for actions to conserve these species.
This activity is part of the „Conservation of saproxylic insects in the Carpathians – LIFE ROSalia” project. The project is implemented by the Vrancea county Environmental Protection Agency in partnership with the Association for the Conservation of Biological Diversity ACDB, the Putna Vrancea Natural Park Administration and the University of Bucharest – Center for Environmental Research and Impact Studies and is co-financed by the European Union within the LIFE Nature program and Biodiversity.
