Inter-school Drawing Contest „Beetles and Trees”
From April 03.2023, to May 31.2023, the Vrancea Environmental Protection Agency, in partnership with the Putna Vrancea Natural Park Administration, ACDB, and the Centre for Environmental Research and Impact Studies, will organize the second edition (2023) of the inter-school competition entitled: „Beetles and Trees.”
The competition is addressed to students from grades 5-8 in communities of interest for the Putna-Vrancea Natural Park (Soveja, Vidra, Păulești, Negrilești, Tulnici, and Nistorești municipalities).
The drawings must include one or more protected species of saproxylic insects found in the Putna Vrancea Natural Park area: the Rosalia longicorn (Rosalia alpina), the hermit beetle (Osmoderma eremita), the gray carpenter (Morimus funereus), the stag beetle (Lucanus cervus) and the great Capricorn beetle (Cerambyx cerdo).
The following prizes will be awarded:
A special prize consisting of a field trip to the Putna-Vrancea Natural Park for the class of the first prize winner and accompanying teachers. The one-day excursion will be organized between June 01-08, 2023.
First prize – a bicycle with maintenance accessories
Second prize – a bicycle and safety helmet
Third prize – a bicycle
Fourth prize – a scooter and safety helmet
Fifth prize – a scooter
